Around SBN: Randy Moss A Raven?

Dunno if anyone else caught this, or if its been posted elsewhere, but Slusser gives us the lastest on what she's hearing about the negotiations with Stassi.

Apparently the A's ahve budgeted 1st round money for him, but Stassi is still posturing about going to UCLA. If he is indeed going to get 1st round money, it would seem silly to risk that on going to UCLA, where he could get hurt or hurt his draft stock.

Thoughts? Will he sign with the A's?

Of the kid wants to finish school,

then goto school. Posturing is stoopid. I hope the A’s give him a real offer and he signs.

If offered legitimate 1st rd. money, I doubt he passes it up.

It seems to me like it’s just posturing to make sure that he gets that money. It would be silly for him to go to school with that offer on the table.

If you think Billy Beane is a bad GM, I hate you and find you stupid.

He's hitting .300 with 1HR and 780 OPS. 28K in 135 AB's in 34 games for the Yuba Gold Sox this summer

He’s wasn’t necessarily a draft and follow but those pedestrian numbers aren’t going to help you get the big contract

i wouldnt take too much stock in those numbers

but i hope youre right

You know things are bad when Bobby Crosby doesn't have the lowest batting average of any starter, yet he's hitting .138. Yes, you're 2009 Oakland Athletics.

those numbers are against college level players instead of High School players.

I’m not saying he cant’ do better in the lower minor leagues, just that he might not be the super-prospect everyone thought, including himself.
