Pictures! Stockton vs. San Jose 7/26
Hello all!
Yesterday I was able to see the Stockton Ports play against the San Jose Giants. Lucky for me I have a DSLR camera so I could take very nice pictures. Unlucky for me I don't even have a zoom lens so I couldn't take close up pictures. However I went on the computer and did some super cropping and the pictures came out okay!
The game featured Justin Duchscherer starting for Stockton for a Rehab start. He pitched two perfect innings. Stockton scored first in the 1st inning. 3 runs off of Giants starter Paul Oseguera. The game would remain 3-0 until the Giants scored 7 runs in the 7th inning. It was ugly, 7 runs on only 3 hits. In the 8th Yusef Carter hit a two run home run making the game 5-7. That was the last any team would score and the Giants won (booooooooo).
Pictures anyone? (yay for amateur photography!)
Lineups
Ahhhhh Gigante!
Jamie Richmond and his "sick" pink backpack.
Jemile Weeks and Michael Richard
Todd Johnson and Grant Desme in the back.
Action shot!
Holy crap Justin Duchscherer! This is when I yelled out "Hey Justin." He didn't even look at me :(
Still walking away from me :(
Jermaine Mitchell, Todd Johnson, and Jemile Weeks
Weeks after grounding out in the first inning.
The other pitcher dude for the other team.
Grant Desme hitting. Desme was the infamous beer batter at the game. He struck out to give everyone half priced beer. A few innings later he struck out again to give everyone half priced apple juice. Thanks?
San Jose manager dude guy is feeling down after being ejected in the first inning.
Next Justin Duchscherer's pitching:
Woooo and that is all. I hope you guys like them.
I have a question now. Is it okay to root for the San Jose Giants? They're my hometown team but also they are part of the enemy. I'm confused!

Looking at the bleachers in all those shots? lol.

He's the worst defensive third baseman ever!
Just kidding. Those were warm up pitches. Either that or he saw something interesting in the stands haha
I was wondering who the first person to ask that would be

At least they have something in common with the A's
Both teams play in dumpy old ballparks in need of replacement.

Ironically, the Ports park...
…is totally awesome. I encourage everyone to make the drive out there if you can. $12 gets you behind home plate :-)
Cool
Duke was probably annoyed they weren’t wearing black jerseys.
