Pretty bummed right now...and not about the A's. They've won two in a row with quality at bats. I wanted to see Carter and Weeks play today but am having to wait for a while. Lets see how the others have done. This will be a condensed recap...my brother and I should be on a regular schedule in the next few days.
Sacramento: 2-0 so far this weekend.
Over the last two days,
Barton: 2-7, 3 R, HR, 2 RBI, BB, 2 K (might be about time to put Giambi on the DL and give this guy a month)
Petit: 5-10, 2 2B, 3 RBI, 2K
Cunningham: 2-6, R, 2 2B, RBI (Did not play on Friday)
Reineke: 5 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 4 K
Kilby (W): 2 IP, 3 K
Demel: 1.1 IP, BB, K
Rod (S): 1 IP, K
Midland: Lost both games so far this weekend. Pitching in Midland is really struggling.
Carter: 2-3, R, RBI, BB
Cardenas: 3-8, R, 3 2B, 2 RBI, BB, K (I know there are concerns about power, but has 26 2B, so there is potential)
Spencer: 3-9, R, 2B, 2 RBI
Sulentic: 3-8, R, 2B, RBI, BB, 4 K
Corey Wimberly SS: 0-4, K (returned to action last night)
Lansford: 2IP, 2 H, 2 K
Stockton: Won both games so far this weekend.
Weeks: 0-3, RBI, 2 K
Carter: 5-8, 3 R, 3B, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 2 K
Desme: 4-7, 3 R, 3B, 2 HR, 3 RBI, BB (Nice start to the weekend. Let's see what Sunday brings. Is slugging .528 on the season...which is good. Has 107 Ks, which is bad. .308 in his last 10 games with 5 HR. Has 44 extra base hits on the season....me like)
Ross: 5.2 IP, 2 H, 4 BB, 8 K (solid...except the BBs)
Richmond: 1 IP, K (first appearence for Ports, may have found his niche in the pen)
Figueroa (W, 1-0): 7 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 7 K (first start for Pedro with Ports. Now 11-2 on the season with a 2.99 era. 24 years old out of the DR. Pedro
Storey: 1 IP, 3 H, 4 R, K the error by Keough hurt
Kane County: Have won both games so far this weekend
Gil SS: 3-7, R, BB
Barfield: 2-7, 2 R, RBI, BB
Paramore: 3-7, RBI, BB, K
Leyja 2B: 1-7, R, HR (1), RBI, BB
Smalley: 6 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 2 K (Not dominant night, but continues to be a solid tosser.)
Thomas Dav: 2-4, 2 R, 3B, RBI
Parker: 2-7, 2 R, HR (3), RBI, K
Chad Lee (W, 1-0): 5 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 3 K (Nice first start for KC. Will be fun to watch his progress this season if he stays healthy.)
Vancouver: Two wins this weekend as well. Nice couple days for the A's minor league affiliates.
Jernigan: 4-8, R, RBI, K
Aliotti: 3-9, R, RBI, 5 K 9Ks in his last 3 games.
Dixon: 0-6, R, RBI, BB, 3 K
Ortiz: 2-3, R, 2B, 2 RBI
Walton: 5-9, 3 R, 3 2B, 2 RBI
Let's hope that they can play out there in St. Louis...can't wait to see Carter. Maybe I missed this from earlier posts, but the A's signed Justin Marks already...what were his contract details?
