A's Draft Link Dump
There seems to be almost no information posted on Justin Marks, so I'll focus on him. I'm sure everyone has plenty of Grant Green links to dump in here. Here's some Justin Marks info!

Thanks for the links
Marks’ stats, and what he sounds like, remind me a lot of last year’s 4th round pick, Anthony Capra.
As a Louisvillian, I’m thrilled that Marks is with the A’s. I’ve seen him play a few times and I think he has real potential — not 1-2, but still worthwhile. His K/BB ratio is about 3.5/1, and he allowed only five HRs in 105 or so innings. He was projected by most to go in the 2nd or 3rd, so this is an appropriate slot. But, as a homer, I hope he exceeds expectations. Good luck Justin!
We all definitely hope that he exceeds expectations.

Saw him pitch against CSU Fullerton in the Super Regionals over the weekend.
It wasn’t pretty. He slipped fielding a bunt, Fullerton stole six bases during his 4.1 IP. He breezed through the 3rd and 4th. Maybe because at this point Fullerton was busy tweeting they’d be in Omaha next week.
Fullerton stole bases on them in both games, it was rough. He pitched twice the weekend before, so hopefully it was due to tiredness or being off schedule.

Marks kinda reminds me of...
…I don’t know. Ted Lilly?
Capra doesn’t seem to have as good of command of his secondary stuff as Marks does, and Marks is a proven big-game pitcher.

4th round pick
Wow Oakland selects Max Stassi. He was ranked pretty high.
Some links:

Yeah, but if you look at the video, on MLB.com, you will notice him grab his hammy on one of his
hits, and on the first one, he looks to be hobbling around the basepaths. WTF.

Stassi
Another article on Stassi. Looks like we pipped him ahead of the Rays and Redsox. The A’s also knew the pricetag before drafting him so I am optimistic we can get a deal done.

Here's an article on Josh Leyland
Looks like he has impressive power.
If we sign all these draftees we will have had an absolutely ridiculous draft for a team without a second-round pick.
