It's a beer made out of smoked malt.

A bit of a love it or hate it thing, but as good a German beer as you’ll ever drink IMO.

My favorite random RALLY dog fact (heard recently on NPR)

Dogs and cats apparently get along like, well cats and dogs, in part because they use body language very differently. For example, a cat puts its ears back to indicate aggression, while a dog puts its ears back to indicate submission. This means that dogs and cats constantly miscommunicate.

When a dog lives in the same house as a cat, he will learn the meaning of his own cat’s body language. But that dog will be just as confused by other cats as dogs who’ve never been around cats at all.

And that’s why he gets kicked out of band camp! Trying to score with Pre-Zombie Clown Chick and failing because of the Evil Zombie King. Challenges to Evil Zombie King. Gets his ass whipped, not by EZK, but by PZCC which just pisses off EZK who then kicks Clown at guitar hero.

He was at 84 pitches after 5

He probably could have gone one more.

And I like the sexy strikeouts. Big knock on him was the 7 hits, and 3 of them for extra bases (including Polanco HR). But outside of the nasty first inning, where he gave up 2 runs and almost a 3rd, he was fine.

All in all, not bad at all. Kept his pitch count reasonably down.

That's the Bob Geren version

The honest version is he HAS to stop throwing balls and giving up so many hits. He falls behind and he does not have the fastball to get out of it.

Control has cost him nearly every start.

Of all the starters we have had this year, he is by far the least polished and needs a lot of work to be serviceable. I don’t recall one good start from him where he looks like he belongs.

Time will tell. Since we are well out of contention then give him 3 or 4 more starts and if the control does not improve them stick him in the pen.

Well boo you.

Federer’s going to win it though, along with one of the Williams’ sisters.

I hope not, on Fed.

He irks me.

Obviously everyone wants Murray to win, but Federer's the best

player in it and one of the best of all time (even if he has lost 10% due to age). I used to like him, but honestly he’s a sore loser and got really bitchy last year when things weren’t going his way – really soured my opinion of him.

He's gonna break Sampras' record one day (though I wish he wouldn't)

but when he does, I want him to have had to play the best field, and without Rafa playing at Wimbledon that’s just not the case.

And I agree on his attitude.

Better player than Sampras ever was.

It’s sad that Rafa’s injured, but the way that guy plays the game it was inevitable – he’s going to shine brightly and burn out quickly that one.

I hope Buck is playing tomorrow

Geren cannot use the “Verlander’s too tough” excuse

He is 2 for 4 with 3 walks. So he has some idea wat to do against him.

Verlander is too tough though.

We might as well just forfeit now.

It is of great comfort when the slegnA lose

It doe snot happen often enough but I will be hoping that Their nemisis wipes them out in the playoffs. I am not a Boston fan but I sure love them when they play the slegnA.

Sorry but I hope they all go on the DL and I don’s care how they get there.
