Around SBN: Bracketology 2012: Duke Finally Steps Up To The No. 1 Line

Futureaces

The hand we've been dealt may be tough to beat, and will hopefully start paying dividends real soon.

I intended to do something like this back when we had the Big Three, but never got around to it. New excuses are nice.

Anderson, Cahill, Outman, Mazzaro. One could argue Braden could be in there too (as a King?), but I limited it to the young'ns.

Possibly place Braden as the Joker

He is becoming my favorite player on the A’s, especially when he continues saying things like this…

“You end up with a name like ‘Outman,’” he said last week. “What else are you going to do? You’re going to get people out, man.”

I am Ray Fosse's infatuations with Clay Wood and high-definition television.

That quote is going in my sig.

"And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic..."

It does seem like Braden has really stepped up into a more prominent role this year

I like his character and tenacity too. Adding him to the above, you’re looking at a solid young rotation.
I think Duke senses he’s done in Oakland.

The rate Duke is going, he might be a cheap #5 starter next year.

I say do it so we don’t have to rush someone up for that spot.

Clayton Tanner. I have nothing witty to add.
