Crosby to Yankees for cash?

I was thinking "Why not trade Bobby Crosby to the Yankees for cash?" After all, you would be getting some of your money back for the four non-productive years he's had, and you'd be eliminating a huge hole. The Yankees might take it because they might figure that He'd fit in well with the stadium, and he wants to leave Oakland. Yes, I know the article is from March.

One look at his numbers and you’d realize that we would have to pay any team that shows even a remote interest in crosby to take him off our hands.

why the yanks do it?

because they are an old team that likes to get injured. crosby, while… being crosby, he at least is better than some of their backup options on the infield. not to mention he can at least competently defend at all 4 of them.

I would trade Ole Booby Crosby for Nick Swisher,

or Ian Kennedy etc…

Once Cashman declines the offer then I will shift to more reasonable deals…

This is the stock answer to all Bobby Crosby questions:

We waived him, which means anybody could have had him for free. If we want to trade Crosby, we (at the very least) would have to give away his salary too, which I think is around 6 million.
