Eliis 2B: 0-3, K
Buck RF: 0-4, R, K
Everidge 1B: 3-4, R, 2 2B, RBI .350 All this guy does is hit. Batting .459 over his last 10 games with 5 doubles and 3 HR. Would make for a nice right handed bat in a line-up, especially since he never gets injured. Plays 3B and 1B, not very well, but is crushing lefties. 5-9 since coming to AAA against them. Should have Nomar's position on the roster...at least that's what I think.
Chacon: 7 IP, 3 H, ER, 3 BB, 8 K Nice second outing for him. Should provide some depth for the Rivercat pitching staff that we have been picking over the last month.
Henry: 1 IP, 2 ER, 2 BB, K Had pitched really well in his previous 4 outings, walks creeped up on him again.
Midland:
| Final | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | R | H | E | |

Affronti LF: 2-4, 2B, 2 RBI
Fernandez (L, 6-6) 1.2 IP, 6 H, 6 ER, 3 BB, 3 K Not his best start...
Stockton: No sign of weeks last night.

Mitchell RF: 2-4, R
Desme CF: 0-4, 2 K Batting in the #3 hole last night.
Italiano: 5 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 5 K Back to back promising starts...something to build off of.
Kane County:
| Final | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | R | H | E | |

Thomas Dav CF: 2-5, 2B,
Coleman SS: 1-4, 2B
Paramore C: 1-3, 2 R, HR, RBI, BB, K
Parker and Spina made their debuts for the Cougars. Parker is our 5th Rnd pick at 3B and Spina is our 11th Rnd pick from Cinci. They combined to go 0-6, with a BB, K
Capra (L, 2-5) 6 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 3 K
Vancouver:
| Final | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | R | H | E | |
| Vancouver |
0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 3 | 8 | 0 | |
| Tri-City |
0 | 1 | 3 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | X | 8 | 11 | 1 |
Walton DH: 3-4
Dixon LF: 0-4, R, 2 K
Ortiz C: 1-4, 2B, RBI, K First hit for our 6th Rnd pick out of Oregon St.
Crisostomo RF: 2-4, R, K Apparently this guy likes to move once on first. Last night he has a SB, a CS, and PO. trifecta...but not the one you want.
Penalba: (L, 1-1) 3.1 IP, 6 H, 6 ER, BB, 6 K Was rocked last night after a nice debut to the season. Now has 10 K in 8.1 IP.
Street: 2.2 IP, 2 H, ER, BB, 2 K
Not sure where Weeks was last night. Again, the A's need to decide what to do with Everidge since he doesn't appear to be slowing down. Would be nice to see what he has--for several games at DH...if nothing else to showcase him for other teams. Also, Dixon now has 10 K in his first 29 AB, young kid, but just something to keep an eye on.

He prob isnt the answer at 3rd.
I want Wallace.

Is Wallace hurt or something?
Because his numbers this year suck: .269/.321/.372, 9/32 BB/K ratio. And this is a guy who’s not going to be a particularly good 3B, even if he manages to stay there for a few years.

He went from college to AAA in a year, some struggles are to be expected

Saw him in Memphis
Big kid, slow at the corner. No way he stays at 3B over his career. The only reason the Cardinals keep him there now is because he is blocked at 1B and there is no DH. He can’t play the OF either, just too big in the middle.

Here's the thing
If Wallace isn’t ready right now or really, really soon, what advantage is he over Cardenas? He’s no more likely to stick at 3B than Cardenas, he’s older, and he’s struggling in AAA. He’s not even a RH hitter.

Wallace might just be a fascination around AN
Is there any proof to support the thought that Beane covets him?

I'd say the opposite
considering he drafted Weeks ahead of him. Sure he’d be nice to have, but a guy who’s not all that likely to stick at third really isn’t that valuable considering we have Carter and Doolittle.

Having 3 potentially good hitters isn't valuable?
"We were shit, pathetic," Guillen growled early in spring training. "We hit too many home runs."

I'll rephrase
It’s more valuable to have 3 good hitters who can all play on the same field at the same time, as opposed to three that play the same position. Although I guess you could have some arrangement of Carter/Doolitttle/Wallace at once.

Hes also batting 350 over his past 10 games.
So hes on the rebound.

why is he not the answer?
have you seen reports his defense is bad? because he certainly looks like he’s going to be a good enough hitter.

I don’t know where others stand on this, but I think we should stop screwing with Cardenas and keep him at second base. It’s clear that he struggles at the plate mightily when playing over at the hot corner.

extremely small sample size
That’s not a fair or rational assumption to make yet

strange day to say that...
he certainly has hit worse in the 10 or so games, but it’s huge SSS (as stranahanahan says), and I wouldn’t be surprised if players generally hit worse when they’re learning a position for the first time. but I’d be shocked if they didn’t almost all get over it.
