Today Was A Good Day

Today I had the pleasure, and privilege, of depositing $2,157.00 into the Wells Fargo account that is dedicated as the Jon Wilhite Recovery Fund. But the number that stands out to me is 67.

67 different members of AN (45 by check, 22 by PayPal) generously participated in this drive to get us where we are as of today. I believe one or two more checks are actually still in the mail to be deposited separately, bringing the expected donation total to right around $2,200.00.

I am very proud to be part of a blog that has so many members willing to reach out and contribute something, even in the toughest of economic times. Good karma will come to you, and good medical care will come to Jon Wilhite.

puts us over $2,200.00, as we were at $2,197.00 with the check I received today.

I would like to take a moment to say thank you, on behalf of all the great unwashed masses (AN characters) here. You exerted a lot of time and energy into this project and that was above and beyond “just some guy who writes for a blog”. “everyone together” because to me the 67 68 who participated are what made this successful. Without the others, I’m just some guy ranting over and over on a blog. Wait, that’s what I am anyway. Carry on.

I thought you were going to say that "Today was a good day..."

because you didn’t have the taste of another A’s loss in your mouth from the night before. But this is a much better and noble reason to have a good day.

Thanks for putting this together, Nico. This has been great effort from all of AN and it’s definitely something you should be proud of.
