Open Thread: Game 70 - A's vs. Giants (cont)

The only rule about facing Tim Lincecum: Don't give up any runs. Mazzaro opened the game with two, 2-run innings, putting the A's in a 4-0 hole. Giambi has homered to get one run back, but the A's have six innings to score three more.

agree 100%

Lincecum is a tremendously good awesome pitcher. I mean, the guy won the CY Award last year while playing for a real bad team. Losing tonight, while painful to watch, would not exactly be a surprise. Last Sunday’s loss was much harder to take.

I really hope Gio

is a strike machine tomorrow instead of the walk and meatball machine we have seen so far.

Even though the majors are obviously much tougher, he has not converted his control in the minors to the majors to date. He seems to have very good games down there but when he comes up here, he gets behind and his stuff becomes very, very hittable.

Maybe he gets it together tomorrow night.
