Father's Day with the Ports
I'm certainly no Flashfire, but I took the camera and a borrowed zoom lens out to the Ports game today to get some shots of the kids as they took on the "Little Giants" of San Jose. All in all, it was a pretty poor outing from the young squad, as they lost 8-2 with three errors. Here is the official recap from the Ports site.
On a positive note, my kid was picked out of the crowd to say "Play Ball" so all was not lost :-)
On to the photos!
Dodgers great Maury Wills with Ports skipper Aaron Nieckula
Starting pitcher Mathieu Leblanc Poirier
Yusuf Carter did a lot of this today.
Shane Keough says "Ooh, ooh, I know. I'm out, right, blue?"
Jemile Weeks didn't play today, but he did dip. Here he tells Christian Vitters and Matt Smith
what it's like to be a millionaire.

Like the pics anyway
Don’t be intimidated by FF. Baseball photography can still be a fun way to catch a game. :)

Thanks, GS
I learned that the hardest part for me is to get pics of the really interesting plays. It’s hard to straddle the line between photographer and fan :-)

Trust me, I still miss a number of things if I can't get set up on them fast enough.
