This game is so lame

that you can start a new thread in the middle of an inning with a man on base, and no one minds.

Actually, I started it between innings

It just takes Edgar Gonzalez a long time to run to first base.

Been listening in the car on the way home

We’ve been living on borrowed time for a while. But it’s so fitting that Springer (and an overworked Springer to boot) would be the one to get us behind.

by worldblee on Jun 19, 2009 9:32 PM PDT reply actions

My feeling about the IBB to Gonzalez:
  • If they pitch to him, either they pitch carefully and he walks anyway, or he unloads on Springer.

 * If Springer throws the exact pitches he threw Headley, to Kouzmanoff, Geren looks like a genius non idiot.

My take: Good, gutty decision, bad outcome due to bad pitching.
