Blake Crosby
Will Blake Crosby be headed to the Vancouver Canadians or Kane County Cougars? We live in Seattle and got to know Blake when he was playing college summer league in Marysville, CA prior to our move up here.. The kids are going to be thrilled if he is indeed headed for Vancouver. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any information that you all can provide. Let's go Oakland!!! Thank you very much!

Would you be thrilled to be headed to Canada?
Actually, we’re hoping Bobby heads to Vancouver.

I have always loved it.
Back in 1976 my friends and I went there and partied after HS graduation. Fun stuff.

my guess is the AZL Athletics....
he can hang out with Ryan Doolittle’s and Huston Street’s brothers

I wish that the A's would be...
a no Crosby zone. Bros haven’t worked out well for the A’s. Anybody remember the Giambi brother combo?

But what if
Longtime no post.. But what if Mr.Beane has figured out there is a law of brothers? Jeremy and Ozzies all sucked. Bobby sucks so therefore Blake will be the winner! Stranger things have happened.

are you serious?!?
Jeremy Giambi, if anyone here actually watched the A’s 6-7 years ago, was a solid 4th outfielder his 1st year and great 3rd outfielder next year and a half. And don’t even site the “he should have slid argument.” Yes, one painful, pivotal play, but otherwise he was solid enough with the bat to be good enough to take the field most days, even if it was with steroids. Hell, we may not have even been in that position to play in the playoffs were it not for him…

Was little crosby worth a draft pick?
or its just the last name?
he plays 3b and hit well for Sac St. , but will be 25 this yr, pretty much a non prospect. I’m surprised the SS for Florida St. who was an all american choice went undrafted. I’d rather waste a late draft pick on a tough signability player

Not a big loss
At that point in the draft all you really hope for is a good organizational player. Crosby can play the corners in the lower levels, if you spend all your picks on signability players then you run the risk of not having enough guys signed to fill out all your rosters at the lower levels. It’s not exciting but you need to find 25 guys to suit up for Vancouver and another 25 for Arizona.

hey, Piazza was considered organisational filler and a family favor to Lasorda to boot
Look what happened to him

he doesn't look like a major league player
from his stats, but he says his ambition is to become a GM. they may know the kid from many years of hanging around his brother and think he he has a future in the organization in a non-playing role. at that level draft choice you’re only giving guys a $1-2K bonus anyhow.

GM job interview question #1:
“Would you play Bobby Crosby in the major leagues?”
I like Cindi. A. She never pretends to know more than she does. B. She has unbridled enthusiasm for her "Hotties," and isn't afraid to show it. -IM4Oakgal

Blake Crosby
More of a roster filler player. His stats and age makes him just a warm body on a roster. He will probably go a team that has a need for a player at his position. A ball player.

Did I hear correctly on the radio a few days ago that Bobby Crosby's dad was the scout who pointed the A's to Jason Giambi?
