I think so

Ziggy is not a true closer.

He is very valuable to us but U need a guy with great stuff who throws strikes and even though it’s early, Bailey makes Ziggy look like Dana Eveland and I mean that in a nice way.

by Trainman on May 8, 2009 9:43 PM PDT up reply actions

He was the obvious closer for the A's until now

that we found a true closer. Ziggy will be huge as a ROOGY / 8th inning guy. If it’s the 7th and there are a couple of guys on I still think he is best suited for getting us a DP. We now have OPTIONS!!

These ain't your father's A's.

Great win

1. Continues the momentum that began yesterday.
2. Great way to open the series against a tough opponent.
3. The rest of the division won tonight. (or leading in the eighth)

I am from NoCal but my father’s job brought us to Minnesota when I was in eight grade. I always got a ton of shit in school for being an A’s fan from snobbish Twins fans, especially during the 2002 ALDS. It just made me hate the Twins I guess.

Haha yeah that was a great time for me, my sophomore year in HS I think. I was at game 2 in Minneapolis. The dome was absolutly rocking after Mourneau and Cuddyer went back-to-back but you could have heard a pin drop after the inside-the-parker. Great game.

But all of the back and forth with the Twins fans was in jest, and I didn’t actually ever have hard feelings about it towards anyone. Just towards the Twins I guess lol.
