Wrong type of graphing.
You need a big circle labeled “They are idiots”, two smaller circles within that say “They are actually first” and “They think they are first”.

Didn't Bailey get wasted for an inning yesterday
and now he needs a 5 out save today.
I agree with the 5 out save part but not wasting him yesterday
I don't like this move.
You can’t keep bringing your closer in for 5-out saves. Ziggy would have been a good choice here, or stick with Wuertz. Bailey should have the 9th.

Is this how Geren fails us today?
or will Bailey save him another AN thrashing?

BTW, it really wasn't a bad throw by Suzuki, was it?
A little high, but Giambi pulls it in easily – really Crosby’s error, looked like to me.

I've never understood Crosby as a defensive replacement at 1B.
He’s played a total of what 6 games there or something in his entire career? Stupid.

How does anyone think Geren is blowing this game?
We’re shitty. Deal with it. We have a horrible fucking offense that keeps other teams in the game. We have a very young pitching staff that can’t go deep and itsn’t really that good right now.. We have a so-so bullpen and a so-so defense.
What kind of season does that sound like a formula for?
Geren should still be fired.
He’s a horrible manager… He is supposed to manage games… and usually he manages games for the other team to win.
Well bringing in Bailey for the 5 out save was really a stroke of genius.
And no it’s not hindsight, pretty much everyone groaned when he was brought in.
Agreed. This is getting silly.
I’m a big Geren critic, but it’s really comical to start blaming him for this game. Is it his fault that Braden got a blister? Are the little bleeder hits the Rangers are getting his fault? His lineup is his lineup. There’s not much he can do.
Damn Dallas really deserved that W too.
Oh well, he does play for the A’s, so…

Crosby at 1b. How is a guy who has played approximately 10 games at 1b in his career better than Giambi? How, Geren, how?

Hell, he can’t be any worse than Geren is. Hell, I couldn’t be worse than Geren. And I didn’t know even Devine was out for the season until today. This is retarded. In the battle of the strong, victory goes to the brave.
Yes, I think there is a problem
Our philosophy seems to be producing hitters who can’t hit. Buck, Barton, Swisher, Crosby, Cunningham, and all sorts of other guys who can’t hit in the major leagues with any consistency so far.

In the United States, player-managers and player-coaches were once common, especially in the early days of baseball. The last player-manager in Major League Baseball was Pete Rose, who began managing the Cincinnati Reds in 1985, the second-to-last season of his playing career…
