That was a frustrating loss yesterday. Let's see if our young boys had better success.

Barton 1B: 1-4
Petit 3B: 2-4, SO
Simmons: 5 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 4 BB, 6 K 5.54 ERA. Not the control I was expecting from him. I wonder if he is still trying to develop other pitches and that accounts for the hight walk total. 20 BB in 39 IP.

Vitters 3B: 3-4, R, 2B, RBI .368 I understand that Stockton is a hitter's field. But it doesn't account for the fact that Vitters has no HR and 4 2B. When it comes to his success this early on, and I understand that it's a small sample size, I attribute to him finally being healthy.
Carter C: 2-4, R, HR, 2 RBI .378
Ross: 4.2 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 3 K 4.10 ERA Nice start, two ok outings in a row. Looks to be on a pretty tight pitch count since he has only gone beyond 4 IP once.
H Rod: 2 IP, 2 H, 5 K Yikes! Please maintain control, please, please.
Kane County:
| Final | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | R | H | E | |

Christian 3B: 0-5, R, RBI, .259 Led off the game. Don't know what that was about.
Ray 2B: 2-4, 2 R, 2B, 2 RBI, BB .275 Having a pretty decent season at 2B Ray
Coleman SS: 2-4, R, HR, 2 RBI, BB, SO .292 That was his 6th HR of the season.
Desme CF: 1-4
Hernandez LF: 1-4, R, 2B
Barfield RF: 1-4, R
Paramore C: 2-4, R .271 .344 in his last 10 games.
Haviland: 7 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K 2.49 ERA
Some nice performances yesterday. Nice to see Haviland continue his solid start to the season. Coleman continues his strong first half. I would like to see him spend a few more weeks in KC, to work on contact. H-Rod needs to be pitching in AAA this weekend, or AA. 5 K in 2 IP is nice to see.
Let's go A's
