Valdez, A 2B: 5-5, 2 R, 2 2B, HR, 5 RBI, .259 Alex has been hot of late, 419 in his last 10. Only had 71 AB last season for the Ports. Tale of two months: batted .058 in April in 52 AB, and .422 in May through 64 AB. Nice turn around.
Carter C: 3-5, RBI, 2 SO .344
Hernandez, C: 6 IP, 8 H, 3 ER, BB, SO 5.31 ERA Gave up no hits in his last start when he went 6 IP, but still has given up 42 H in 40 IP to go along with 18 walks.Not a good whip. Still young--1987.

Coleman SS: 0-4, .301. Hitless game, but no Ks. Small victory considering he has 40 Ks in 133 AB. With that many Ks and still batting over .300 is pretty nice.

Hornbeck (W, 4-0) 7 IP, 3 H, ER, 10 K 1.24 ERA What a stud so far. Born in '87, drafted out of Kansas State in the 32nd round. Has pitched 36 IP and given up 19 H. That's a .158 BAA. Ohh and he has 47 Ks. He might be in line for a promotion soon.
