Just because I want to....
I haven't been on here in a while, maybe this has been posted before.....but I just stumbled upon it and wanted to share.
For anyone that can remember, I am obsessed with Swisher. Always have been and always will be. I was just killing time at work today and went to his website and found a link for www.voteswisher.com.
I think it's great! It's a site started by Yankees fans to write him into the All-Star ballot. Yes, I know he's not on our team anymore. Yes, I know he plays for the enemy. I was worried about his move the NY. I went to one game there last summer, and that was more then enough. NYY fans are brutal. I thought there was no way they'd love him like we did (Or still do), but they're getting pretty damn close.
I thought, maybe,.....for old-time sake, maybe we could just write Swisher in. Just once.....

I miss Swisher too
Before he left, he was my favorite player.
I’d be happy to give him a vote.

Why don't we, you know,
spend the energy to write one of our own players in? Just a thought.
Nico: Okay. We have twelve hours to make a really big pickle.
Suzuki's on the ballot already though
The only offensive players on the All-Star ballot filled in by fans at the park are each team’s theoretical starting lineup. As such, Swisher won’t be on the ballot, but Suzuki already is.
An example of a hypothetical write-in candidate for the A’s would be Landon Powell.

i like swisher but........
a spot gained for the yankees is a spot lost for 100 other players who are deserving…….
i would rather write in someone thats on our team right now……..
I have a strange feeling
that New York will be well-represented.
Dig Swish, but the less Yankees the better. Same goes for the Red Sox.
I'm here to talk about the past.
I'll laugh, in a disgusted sort-of way, as Ortiz is voted in.

Here's a hypothetical
If I wrote in a vote for Papi, would it count?

Wow 67M
Your disdain of the Yankees runs so deep you eschew proper grammar when writing of them. Less Yankees indeed.

I think he means that the skinny Yankees are better than the fat ones.
I like Cindi. A. She never pretends to know more than she does. B. She has unbridled enthusiasm for her "Hotties," and isn't afraid to show it. -IM4Oakgal
