Nick Adenhart killed in car crash
Authorities are blaming the three-vehicle accident on a motorist in a mini-van who ran a red light at East Orangethorpe Avenue and South Lemon Street. For some reason TMZ also has the story, and they are reporting one of the other men killed in the crash was also affiliated with the Angels. I'll add more information as it comes in. Edit: Huff Post link.Authorities say the driver of the van fled the scene, was later captured and charged with felony hit-and-run.

What a tragedy
Every day is just a little worse than the previous, that means every day is the worst day of my life.

Incredible tragedy.
My stomach sunk when I read this headline, and I almost can’t believe it. Especially after just seeing him pitch.

Terrible news
I keep going to different sites hoping that the fact that I don’t see it on ESPN or something gives a glimmer of hope it isnt true.
This may also make me break internal vows and make a trip over to HH to post my sympathy.

Holy shit.
There’s unconfirmed reports that someone else in the Angels org was in the car too. This can’t be fucking real.

No. It should be its own fanpost.

I figured it was pointless now that it's on the front page.

Oh damn
My eyes just welled up when I read this.
Last night, I was watching the game and thinking “Damn, this dude is gonna be like Saunders, Santana and Lackey… I am gonna hate watching him pitch for the next 5 years.”
I feel guilty for taking life for granted.
I feel so bad for his family right now. 22 years old and on top of the world.
Nick, I hope there is a better place and you are there.

Terrible
It’s never acceptable when an athlete (especially a young one) loses his life because of others’ stupidity. Thoughts and condolences to the Angels and the Adenhart family.

I feel deeply saddened for the families of the young people who died.
I have daughters in the same age group as the young people who died in this tragedy and I literally feel ill for their parents. I hurt for them. It’d kill me if anything like this happened to one of our children. Poor poor souls.
