Cameron and Patterson

Since no one else is doing it, I figured I'd start a fan post on the two newest members of the MLB club. I know Patterson's history because he came over in the Harden trade and was lousy during his brief stint with the club in '08, but know very little about Cameron.

So who is this Kevin Cameron guy, and should we care? Also, are Patterson's AAA stats significant, or willl he revert to type once he starts playing games?

Kevin Cameron

On Cameron

Here is what he has done with SD the last two years. This is from the A’s site.

Sad...

Last year, around five people would have posted their opinions on Cameron and Patterson within seconds. Now we get links. How the mighty AN has fallen.

I did post my opinion of Kevin Cameron

I'm happy Patterson is getting another chance

All he’s done in the minors is hit. Maybe he really is a AAAA player, but maybe he’s just been unusually unfortunate and/or ill oriented with his prior MLB attempts. If he ever did what his MiLB number suggests in the show, he’d actually be a significant offensive upgrade over Ellis (if also a significant defensive downgrade).

Patterson's problem is that he is horrible defensivly.

In a sense, you could say he is Alfanso Soriano with out Power.

And we all know what Alfanso Soriano with out Power would be like.

More apt comparison

Maybe his Brother, Corey Patterson, but worse on defense?

Me? I’d go with Scott Podsednik.
