How the f&%#$ does Papelbon not bury a splitter on one of 8 0-2 pitches?

a hitter is fouling off? Great battle, though. The Red Sox got very lucky.

Yeah...

Lineup is bad…Bullpen use today was worse.

"Their Triple-A rotation, led by Trevor Cahill and Brett Anderson, could be better than some big-league rotations; Michael Ynoa is the best Latin American prospect of the decade; 2008 draftees Jemile Weeks and Rashun Dixon bring much-needed tools to an advanced group of hitters." - BaseballProspectus.com

I agree

The decision to bring in Crosby and move Nomar to 1B was bad. And then we have Crosby booting a sure groundball out, which is far too much reality for the fragile psyche of Willy Santiago Jairo Garcia Casilla

I just "watched" the entire game on gameday

what a waste of 3 hours. I can’t stand losing when I’m watching on tv or on the internet. at least at the game I have fun.

Cust is at least getting some of the work done.

theres no upside in keeping crosby around

cabrera has played 150 games + in 7 of last 8 yrs.
crosby is being forced to play unfamiliar positions.
he still cant hit.
cut your losses, call up hannahan/petit/pennington

agreed. I think Billy needs to admit failure with Crosby and move on.

Just cut him loose already.

And Cust finishes on the on deck circle

Isn’t it a great idea for him to be batting so low? And TBuck, please start hitting again. I have faith in you. Where is the guy Nico proclaimed (and I agreed) “the best doubles hitter I’ve ever seen”?

Tbuck...redux of 2008 unfortunately

If Nomar and Matt Ho were stroking in a lot of runs, then TBuck would relax. Seeing Gee, Nomar and esp. MattHol fail, Buck starts feelin’ it…..and failing.
