this defeat definitely tempers the rotund 4-0 win maradona guided against venezuela 4 days ago. maybe, after all, diego isn’t a wonder coach just because he was a wonder player. or maybe he’s just not a wonder travel agent. why did he think it was a good idea to bring the team up from 1,300 feet in elevation to 11,942 (yes, 4 digits to 5) an hour before the game? you have to acclimate to that change, not surprise it. your body can’t take it. though i saw the 90 minutes, i can’t comment on the team’s play because they physically weren’t there. i think it’s best to take it as extended goalie practice and look to the next game.
