AN Home Opener Tailgate...Update!

Hi Y'all!

So the A's home opener is just a month away. Pam5981 and I are considering organizing an AN tailgate to celebrate what we hope is an auspicious year for our beloved team.

I know many of our AN family are attending from near and far. It would would be good fun to get together, share some great food and even greater memories, and conjecture endlessly about the A's chances in 2009.

So our question is...are you in?

Update: Thanks to everyone for chiming in. It looks like we'll have a great turn out! I'm told we can get into the parking lot starting at 3:30 pm, so those of you who can come early, that's your cue! I will definitely be an early bird. I need to check with those in the know about the where, and we will update you in a couple of weeks about that. You've obviously already saved the date, but be thinking about what, if any, contributions you'd like to make in the way of food, bevs, grills, etc. We'll have another poll to nail that down when we update. We're going to have too much fun!

The only problem I have with bringing anything is that I work in the city and I take BART to the game, so I have limited carrying ability.

3:30 it is!

I’ll pass this on to saint and the rest of our crew. Maybe we will bring an A’s banner/flag with us to help identify our posse. But for sure we always set up on the north side in front of the “Mac” sign with the cement blocks. I’ll see what everyone is planning on bringing but as has been pointed out already, there is usually more than enough grub for all. But definitely byob if you want to drink like a pirate!
