Open Thread: Spring Training Game 13 - A's at Rockies

No, Mark Ellis isn't playing 2B yet, Eric Chavez' return to the field keeps getting delayed, and Justin Duchscherer is back to just throwing and seeing how he feels the next day. This is when it's important to remember that Opening Day is still 4 weeks away, that usually on March 10th the Cactus League has barely begun and only because of the WBC does it seem like we've been in spring training forever and Opening Day is just around the corner. Fortunately, for the A's, Angels (E. Santana), Yankees (A-Rod), and others, it isn't.

The A's visit the Rockies at 1:00pm today, with Trevor Cahill slated to continue his audition to steal a spot in the A's rotation. Cahill has dominated the Cactus League so far with 5 IP of 1 hit ball, walking one, striking out 5, and drawing rave reviews from scouts.

Someone please post/note the lineups when they are available, as come game time I will be busy brainwashing demoralizing molding impressionable young minds.

Gameday audio is not up.

If ever a game should have been called on account of wind, that one was it. Good thing Jerry Blevins didn't have to pitch; he's tall, skinny, and I could practically see one of the 40-mph gusts...sweeping him off the bump and pinning him to the left-field fence. --Mychael Urban
