I just got home from our fANfest, and decided to get the jump on the photo posts. Other AN'ers should feel free to use this diary as a place for additional posting.

The dessert table before it got fully loaded. I'm not sure, but I believe that is Leopold Bloom's banner Edit: Thanks to Leopold Bloom for the awesome banner.
As you'd expect in a glass showroom, nearly everything is made of glass, including the stairs. The sinks were especially cool. It only took 5 minutes for little miss specialK to figure out how to fall off the stairs onto the floor (she was OK).
Around 2:00, some nice young kid from the A's showed up at the party with a nice box of freebies, which made the party even more fun. Here, posted without comment, are some of us who attended.

This is the most awesome party space! Huge thanks to LynnZ, who probably got in waaay over her head but who seemed to enjoy herself nonetheless. Next time: Lots more people! I think once Lynn recovers, we can convince her to do this again sooner rather than later.

Cameras and Nico are just not a good mix. Oh by the way, I drove home fully expecting to learn that Poochini had died (this morning he threw up everything he’s eaten since 2003) and found he was more peppy than he’s been all weekend. I credit everyone at fANfest.

This was such a great time
A HUGE thank you to Lynnzgal for securing the space, taking care of much of the food, and, in general, making the day happen. A sizable thank you also to JLaff for translating a good thought into reality.
Also, thanks to Gigglingone for giving me a ride and enabling me to be there at all. Thanks also to Cindi for an amazing potato salad. And to Slinger for reminding me why the Cheeseboard Collective is one of my favorite places in all of the Bay Area. And to Nico for keeping his pants on until I left.
No thanks at all to everyone in attendance for not reading my and ZigFan’s minds for the first nine-tenths of the party. There’s no justifiable reason why it took that long for a group rendition of “Trade Him att the Deadline” to break out.. (Although that reminds me, thanks to SkiGurl for spontaneously putting together a pretty damn good playlist.)
Seriously, folks, I had a blast today. It was great to see everyone and get a little bit of baseball energy on an otherwise dreary day. Let’s do it again, eh?

Crazy thing is
I remember asking you to watch the dessert for me while I loaded the table. I guess you interpreted that as “stuff this dessert in a bag and disappear before 67M gets back.”

I’m suppose to be watching the goat. You distract me by asking me to “watch” the desserts. While I’m watching said desserts, the goat violates you, and when you get back the desserts are gone! It was all the goat!
