Report: A's talking with 3B Adrian Beltre
According to Mychael Urban, the A's have expressed interest in free agent third baseman Adrian Beltre.
Beltre recently turned down arbitration from the Mariners in hopes of procuring a multi-year deal elsewhere.

Just goes to show
That it’s hard to scoop AN on news. I mentioned this in the DLD, before seeing that this was a fanshot.

Just checking out his career splits
He doesnt have great numbers at the Coliseum, 44 games, 4 HR and a .244 average. HIs career numbers in Anaheim aren’t much better and of course in Seattle not great either. So that’s 100 games a year in parks where he doesn’t hit well.
It’s no wonder he’s been so underwhelming the last 5 years.
He should sign in the NL. Definitely with the Rockies where he KILLS the ball and he also hits well in AT&T, although not for power.
Beltre misses his steroids
If the A’s do sign Beltre they need to get him back on the roids. Obviously, Beltre has not been the same hitter since going clean.
Beltre is the product of living off one good career year
in a contract year. The guy’s so overrated, and a butcher at the plate.
"If you don't take out his battery, he's going to keep going all day."
He's been worth every penny of his contract

Why?
Outfield: Rajai Davis, Coco Crisp, Ryan Sweeney, Aaron Cunningham, Travis Buck, Scott Hairston
Third base: Dallas McPherson, Jake Fox, Eric Chavez
