Around SBN: Ellenberger vs. Sanchez Heats Up, Hughes Talks Retirement

A Quick question for the board- Recent history?

Hello. I was just wondering if someone who remembers the contracts of recent players can help me out.

In 2007 the A's traded Nick Swisher and Esteban Loaiza. I was wondering if anyone could tell me their contract status?

Was Swisher about to be a free-agent? If not does anyone know how many seasons he was under club control? If he stayed on the A's in 2008 wouold he have been a free agent in 2009?

Same with Loaiza. Was his contract with the A's due to expire at the end of the 2007 season. (I do remember he was traded before the season ended).

I know they traded Kendall and Kotsay who were still due big money from the A's during that year but I couldn't recall the contract status of Swisher or Loaiza.

No agenda or point of view from me. I just couldn't remember.

Thanks

GO A's!!

I can delete this if you like.

Then it will be as if it never happened.

Plus I rather enjoy deleting things. Almost as much as Drumsticks.

I'm here to talk about the past.

They didn't trade Loaiza.

He was claimed by the Dodgers after being put on waivers. The A’s let the Dodgers have him.
