Utley Chases Down Reggie; Phillies Trying to Hold On
A pair of Chase Utley homeruns ties him with Reggie Jackson for most (5) in a single Series. Meanwhile, Cliff Lee does his best, well, Cliff Lee. Phillies in Phront 8-4.

Nice work by Manuel --
Make sure Lee throws enough pitches that there’s no way he can go in Game 7 — pitching when he’s tired enough (and wasn’t that sharp to begin with) to pitch badly while approaching 120 pitches.
I like Cindi. A. She never pretends to know more than she does. B. She has unbridled enthusiasm for her "Hotties," and isn't afraid to show it. -IM4Oakgal
To be fair, I don't think Manuel was gonna pitch him on two day's rest anyway.

Exactly. Game 7, all hands are on deck
Whether Lee starts and goes 6IP, or gives you ace relief in the 6th-8th, he’s your best pitcher.

he could pull a Randy Johnson
and come in for 3-4 if we get to a game 7

How do you get to the major leagues
and not how to set up for a fly ball, getting momentum as you catch it in order to make a strong throw? There wasn’t even need to hit a cutoff man because there were no other baserunners? Just get a running start and make a strong throw. Jeebus.

To be fair to Jack Cust
he mostly lacks the physical tools to be a mobile outfielder, rather than throwing in such an underpowered manner
Besides, Cust avoids the problems with throwing the ball
By making sure he rarely catches it.

It was remarkably casual, wasn't it?
Almost like he wasn’t expecting there to be any play at the plate
Okay enough with the movie tie-ins

more baseball! If there’s a Game 7 (which there certainly needs to be) I might actually find a way to watch it. On the TV. Because that would be fun.
So, Scott Eyre was up in the bullpen all inning why?
Apparently they wanted Posada to hit LH (fine), didn’t want the lefty-lefty matchup with Matsui (fine), didn’t want lefty-lefty matchup with Damon (why not?) and didn’t want to turn Teixeira around to bat RH (why not)?
SO WHY WAS HE UP???
