Have the Yankees announced yet when they want to start their series?

I think they have up to an hour after the end of this game….

I know, ‘88. I’d have a much bigger response to that Series if I was around to see it. I was six months or so old.

As far as Philly, I don’t particularly like them. But it’s not really on the scale of NYY/BOS/LAA hatred.

Fielding Independent Pitching.

Basically, since ERA is dependent on the defense behind the pitcher, FIP just looks at how good a pitcher’s been on plays just involving him and the batter. Strikeouts, walks, HR’s.

This is all on Leyland, IMO.

You don’t ask Zach Miner to pitch 2 innings in a one-game playoff; you leave Porcello in to get to your good relievers.

I don't know if Porcello was done

He had issues with all of two hitters, HR and walk. Seemed a bit early in the game to take that as a sign he couldn’t bounce back, given how well he had pitched prior. But if he was spent, Miner’s not a guy to go to anyway — I see him as a long-reliever in quality. Go to your short relievers even if it means asking a 5-6 out save of Rodney. This game’s kind of important to Detroit.

According to peeps who were watching, he was leaving everything up

but yeah, Miner not the choice. Put a closer there if you have to…I think Minn themselves should have used Nathan.

Sadly, I live in Los Angeles...

…but all of my 16 year old friends took their test at the Petaluma DMV…but my mom scheduled it at 5pm….in Santa Rosa….rush hour traffic….had to merge over a freeway….and the A’s game was on! (But the instructor was a HUGE A’s fan and let me listen to the game…if he’s on AN…thanks! And I never told anyone, BTW)

Since they made such a big deal about never having to use deposit slips when making deposits to your own account. I have had to show ID in that situation but I was making a deposit into my friend’s account in Viet Nam, so they might have been concerned about money-laundering.
