Picture Post! 10/3 & 10/4
Allllllllrighty then!
Its been a pretty fun couple of days to end this A's season. While the play hasn't been anything memorable, the Season Ticket Holder event and the AN tailgate most certainly were. I was seriously blown away by the caliber of the appreciation party the A's organization threw yesterday on the field and in the East Side Club. Getting the opportunity to meet and greet the players reminded me a lot of my Spring Training experience, when everything had yet to be decided and the atmosphere was full of hope. This time it was more bittersweet, but this celebration of our fandom went a long way to taking the sting out of having to say goodbye to 2009. I left the Coli last night with a smile on my face.
The final AN tailgate and group ticket event was everything I hoped for! A huge thank you to everyone that came and made this last day of the season so special for me. Your generosity always overwhelms! You are such a fun bunch to hang with and I look forward to more of the same in the new year. I'm pretty exhausted and everything is kind of a blur, so I'll let you guys reminisce about yesterday, today, or whatever else you can think of that made you smile about this year.
But first, some pictures:
See you around AN, everyone!

My father used to have one like that in the 70s and 80s but instead of curling it he waxed it out
Sort of like what you’d see on a villain tying some poor woman to the train tracks.

Oh, it's waxed.
Waxed into the curl. I’ve thought about just waxing it out straight but I think that looks a little too villainy, like you said.
by LoneStranger on Oct 4, 2009 9:49 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Oh, I know. It'd have to be waxed either way to hold it
Just saying he kept it out straight.

There's a season ticket holder who has his waxed out and fairly long. I've seen him a few times.
He kinda looked at me funny a few weeks ago. I don’t know if he was just in the middle of something or what.

Stupid mandatory school picnic, always scheduled for the first Sunday in October (what are these people thinking????) — which for me, as an introvert, consists of going around saying “Hi!!!!!!” while secretly asking myself, “So when’s the earliest I can leave with no one noticing that I wasn’t there all that long?” Bleah.

Cool beans
I swear next year I will attend at least one AN function but sadly all the tailgates this year have been while I’ve been away at school. Hopefully next summer we can schedule some sort of tailgate or whatever for the middle of the summer and I’m there and I’ll drag travdog6 along with me. Maybe then I can put the pictures to names to people…
