What's the deal with Mcdonalds Pop Up Blocking Posts?
Maybe it's just my computer but for the last three weeks or so, these blasted Mcdonald's pop up ads have been blocking out the A's Nation Posts? Anyone else having this problem? Unlike most popups, this one doesn't seem to have an option of "closing the ad" or whatever it's called. The ad just sort of hovers over the posts, blocking out most of the text. Hey Mcdonalds- back off of the Nation and go sell your greasy biscuits somewhere else!

I had a Discover Card ad do that to me today..
but that was the first time. And no X to close it, either. I’m on a lame version of Firefox at work that they won’t bother to put that nifty ad blocker on.

An X appears in the upper left of the ads for me, but it's not immediately there.
Try not rolling the mouse over the ad and see if that makes it happen less often. It only does it for me when I roll over.

I added it to my RSS reader.
They don’t have a link to the feed, so I had to find out what it was from other wordpress sites. Just add /feed/ after the main URL and you can add it to a reader.
i always just click on the RSS icon in the address bar. different strokes for different browsers.

What does RSS stand for?

There seems to be confusion about
what it actually stands for. Some say “really simple syndication”; others say “rich site summary”.
RSS is a data protocol for blog-entry type information. If a blog has an RSS feed, it means it sends out the posts in RSS format in addition to regular HTML for a browser. Other non-browser applications and devices can take the RSS data as input and display it however they want.

And here I thought it really stood for
Really Shitty Season.
