Gather Round AN, Its fANfest!
Just a reminder to save the date for our very own fANfest.
Who: Any and all ANers, regardless of seniority
What: fANfest
Where: The John Lewis Glass showroom at 10208 Pearmain Street, Oakland 94603
When: Sunday, Feb. 8, 12 - 4 p.m.
Why: Because we need some baseball and fun
The boys and I have been working hard to get the showroom PaR-tAY!!111 ready, and I think you'll all be blown away. We've never had a party there we didn't like and we hope you'll like it too. We're going all out!
Leopold Bloom (my favorite and only sign guy) has been kind enough to come up with a banner for us and I have a little glass party favor (thanks again to LB for the help) to remind you of the wild and crazy time we will have.
We'll do another post at the beginning of next week to get the head count and nail down who can do and bring what. I'm excited, and I hope to see as many of you there as possible. Go A's!

I'm in
and have meaning to ask what I can contribute.
BTW, are clothes a must or are they optional? Just curious. Either way is fine.
I'm here to talk about the past.

I'm a definite and Cindi's a maybe
And clothes are listed as “probable”.
I like Cindi. A. She never pretends to know more than she does. B. She has unbridled enthusiasm for her "Hotties," and isn't afraid to show it. -IM4Oakgal

Mine are on the 60-day DL
but might be done for the year.

We still need stuff
I’ll put together a more formal list later, but check out this and the comments below it.
And clothes “probable”? Isn’t Cindi still a minor?
Nico, why don’t you take a seat?

Cindi is indeed still a minor
She’s 16, as she has been for three years now.

I may have to call CPS.

A Mychael Urban Dunk Tank would make this a huge success
But even if you can’t get that part of it together, I’d probably like to drop by.

Never volunteer for a dunk tank suggested by someone named Soaker
That’s my advice.

I'm a type A personality,
so forgive me and feel free to smack me around if I get a little manic.

Do I have to forgive you
or can I go straight to the smacking around?

Thanks for linking that video
Chills. I was right behind the Twins dugout for that game. It was awesome watching them come in after each inning with a sense of mounting dread apparent in the deepening furrow of their collective brow.
It was like a party from the time Marco Scutaro hit that double until… well, until Barry Zito got shelled against the Tigers.

The best atmosphere for any game
It was the best day at the yard I experienced. Right up there with the game 3 with Jeter’s flip/Jeremy’s nonslide (which was a much better game with a much worse result).

I'll definitely be there
Is it OK to bring non-AN A’s fans?

some DVD's/tapes
I have the DVD with all (4) World Series highlights on it, the tapes of the 1989 World Series (full games), and that tape of the HBO doc (on the 70’s, A’s/Raiders). Not enough time for all, but I’ll bring them anyway.

i have a soccerball game that morning
but i should make it along. i might be very sore, mind, so if i am grimacing it’s not because of my dislike for personal interaction.
