Rookie Hazing Photos

Warning before we go: This will probably get out of hand. Boys, you've been warned.

I hope AN's server doesn't melt.

Star-divide

Do Ryan's horns look like....? And a wand? Swoon.

I think Greg is packing around a beer. And Brad, I love you to bits and pieces, but you are scary, dude.

I'm slightly disappointed.

AHHHHHHH!!

Is Dale holding a beer in the first photo? Very lady-like.

by Kimberly on Sep 24, 2008 4:04 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Okay, never mind.

I just noticed that a lot of the guys are holding beers.

by Kimberly on Sep 24, 2008 4:05 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, I thought that was funny.

I guess they figure if they’re gonna make them cross-dress, they can at least have a drink while they’re doing it.

by whiteshoes40 on Sep 24, 2008 4:06 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Sweeeet.

Where’d you find that last one? The one I see on yahoo is much smaller.

Okay, name those rookies: Cunningham (from what Slusser said about the wig), I don’t know who the man in black is, Greggles, Gio?, Ziggy, Carlos (ahaha, adorable), ?, who’s the curly blonde?, RyRy (the slacker w/o the wig), Dale in the green?, and I fail on the last two. This is kinda hard.

by whiteshoes40 on Sep 24, 2008 4:05 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

from the Slusser post (via the DLD)
Greg Smith: "skimpy candy-striped nurses outfit"
Dana Eveland: "tight police woman’s costume, complete with handcuffs"
Carlos Gonzalez: "sailor dress with ribbons on his stockings"
Gio Gonzalez: "Swiss-miss style dress, with ribbons in his hair"
Sean Gallagher: "French maid"
Ryan Sweeney: "devil girl" minus wig
Jerry Blevins: Hermione Granger…. "So wrong it’s right."
Aaron Cunningham: "very small cocktail dress of some sort and a blue wig"

Okay, the bigger pics help a lot.

Pretty much positive that’s Travis in the Batman thing, in the back, but I didn’t think he would have to do it this year. That confused me. And that’s Cliff on the far right, with the little fairy wand. He looks cute.

by whiteshoes40 on Sep 24, 2008 4:25 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I think Travis is doing it this year

because he missed the end of last year with elbow surgery.

But he came back. And there was much rejoicing.

Re: Travis

Pleather leggings?

But he came back. And there was much rejoicing.

by Jennifer on Sep 24, 2008 4:34 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Definitely.

This is bugging me: who’s the guy with the long black wig on the left… Devine, maybe? I’m not really sure exactly what he looks like. And the guy on the right in the cowgirl getup, I can’t figure that out either. I think Baisley is the mostly hidden one, with the black wig and wearing something blue…

by whiteshoes40 on Sep 24, 2008 4:38 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Which one?

I think Jerry’s only in the last pic, the tall one in the back with the red hat and blond wig and the wand.

by whiteshoes40 on Sep 24, 2008 4:45 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Mmm... the man in black doesn't look tall enough to be Jerry.

Plus that doesn’t really look like a Hermoine costume. I dunno.

by whiteshoes40 on Sep 24, 2008 4:54 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, I think Jerry must be the one in the blonde wig & red hat

Very tall. I think the all-in-black one is just a witch, but not Hermione.

Outman?

What about the guy crouching in the front?

With the purple wig and wearing something pinkish, holding his beer in an awkward place. Could that be Jeff Gray?

by justarebelheart on Sep 24, 2008 4:07 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, they *all* have very white legs.

Also, is that a tattoo on Cunningham’s right arm? I guess so, or else it’s just a huge bruise…

I like Ryan's gloves.

Ziggy does look scary. Wow.

Ryan has male model legs.

…which is a slightly creepy thing to say, but in the first group pic, he looks much more model-like than the other guys… and really, they can’t keep their eyes off him. Except Dale. Too busy drinking.

Kimberly..classic comment…….anyways Greg is always sexy..even dressed as a woman and holding a beer. Ryan DOES have nice legs. Meow Ryan!!!! I personally think the rookies are tastey looking characters…I was scared by a couple though. Very scared! Brad has now scarred me for life. Love him buuuuuut..wow.

This is the best fanpost EVER!!!

Among my favorites: Sean G, RyRy of course, Smith has chicken legs BIG TIME….lol. I seriously did not know Daric was that wide in the waist and I didn’t know Cunningham was that big!!! lol Sean is probably the thinnest, well other than Smith. LOL

Quick question: Do the players go directly to Seattle or do they go home since it’s an off-day?

Quotes!

linky

“Actually, it fits nice, but I don’t have any pants, so that’s not right,” Eveland said. “I was just hoping I’d slide. This is my third time doing this, but I’m not complaining.” …

Said Gio Gonzalez, dressed as a German beer hall girl, as he requested help putting ribbons in his blonde wig: “Make me look hot.”

Hee hee.

by schmifty on Sep 24, 2008 8:58 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I bet they were.

Now we just need to figure out why Ryan was the devil girl. And why he didn’t wear his wig… was it really that bad?

by whiteshoes40 on Sep 24, 2008 9:09 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Well he is hot!

I want to know what that wig looked like. Travis . . . Bat Girl, seems appropo since he came back. CarGo, oh so naval. Ziggy, a little raggedy since breaking his record. Dana, definitely hand-cuffed today. Sean puts some French on the ball. Geggy is totally stripey what with the pick offs and the nibbling. Dale = Cougar. Gio represents the South American-German ex-pat hybrid. Outman, he serves it up! Cunningham, nursing this team along. Jeff, witchy shut down skills.

by lynnzgal on Sep 24, 2008 10:15 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Ah... Thanks!

My brain is still having a hard time “seeing” him in that getup!

I didn't realize that Billy's rule about

no beer in the clubhouse had a special “except when in drag” exemption.

Arte didn't get much Home Run Derby. He was dug in too deep or moving too fast. His idea of great R&R was cold rice and a little rat meat.

Especially since 1) you will probably never meet anyone on here, 2) if you do, the chances of them holding a post/comment against you are nil, 3) most posts/comments are forgotten within seconds, 4) any Internet comment after 1AM can hardly be taken seriously, and 5) you were right.
