Greg is also among the league leaders in pickoffs!
That should count for something.
[Crosby] "Guy that has driven in some big runs for the A's over the years" - Vince Cotroneo
It's because he has so many opportunities! :-)
Yes, he’s #1 in all of the land in that category. I love the pickoff move.

Never seen this before...
KICU is actually using their HD channel to broadcast the pregame newsbreak in HD. It sure would be nice to see some HD baseball telecasts on KICU next year.
Okay, so no one knows why Ryan is wearing
a sleeve on his left arm?
But he came back. And there was much rejoicing.

The A's colors are green and gold.
That DP was unnecessarily hard...

The only things missing were fire

But he came back. And there was much rejoicing.
What is scarier?
Sharks with laser beams or dogs that shoot bees out of their mouths?
More than just ANtics: http://www.louisgray.com/live/
dogs with bees
You can at least avoid the sharks by staying out of the water. Dogs though? They’re everywhere….
There's no crying in baseball!
Dogs with bees?
And they I have a dirty and perverted mind.

i hear that the Yanks won't resign Giambi
according to MLB Trade Rumors. also, what about signing blalock to play 3rd on an incentive laden deal? he wouldn’t be too expensive. i know he has injury issues, but thats why you do an incentive laden deal. would that work?

It's OK.
That was directed at me. I didn’t mean it, Jennifer!!!!
A free society is one where it is safe to be unpopular.
Ryan Sweeney gets three walks.
Rex Hudler: He hasn’t recorded a plate appearance tonight!
/facepalm

Hahaha...
Rex Hudler openly admitted to hiding an injury when signing a contract because he “needed the money”. PLEASE let them void it and ask for a refund! I can’t believe he admitted that on live TV!!! Is he high?
Oh…wait.
So, bring on Bonds! Or, not... then, bring back Langerhans!! -One won lost one

He also claimed to be able to run 22mph while injured.
My BS-meter is off the charts right now.

Buttface Weaver is REALLY afraid of Sweeney
Aww, little Jered.
If Sweeney scares you, just wait till you meet Big Papi in a few weeks.
I see the future. I see cake.
I think they will put him in their pen won't they?
But any Angel pitcher should be afraid of Big Papi
I hate unproductive outs and the A's are producing them at record production
And he apparently owns Cust

Next! Cust is going for his own record!

Gaaaaa! Cust.
So predictable. Yet so frustrating.
A free society is one where it is safe to be unpopular.
On the bright side..
He’s better than Ryan Howard.
Yes, I said it.
by VORP is too nerdy on Sep 17, 2008 8:39 PM PDT up reply actions
And just as good as Adam Dunn

I'd like to see
what Spartacust could do against National League pitching in a park like Philadelphia or Cincy.
40 HR?

He'd probably do almost exactly what Dunn has done.

Howard can play D?

Howard is a notoriously bad defender.
Plus he hits in a huge hitter’s park.

I wanna see Howard in McAfree.
And then I’ll make the call on who’s better.
I see the future. I see cake.
Sadly even the hot dog Vendor knew a breaking pitch was coming
and of course the auto strike out with a runner on 3rd.
I hate unproductive outs and the A's are producing them at record production
Why was it so obvious that the curveball was coming?
I actually was expecting another changeup because he just threw that on 3-1. A breaking ball out of the zone with bases loaded is not a given, especially with a guy having some control issues.
by thejd44 on Sep 17, 2008 8:40 PM PDT up reply actions
I can't blame Cust that particular AB
Perfect 3-1 changeup and then a curve that looked like a strike 2/3 of the way to the plate. Just two perfect pitches.
I like Cindi. A. She never pretends to know more than she does. B. She has unbridled enthusiasm for her "Hotties," and isn't afraid to show it. -IM4Oakgal
I still can't believe he threw the 3-1 change
That’s pretty ballsy in that situation.
And shouldn’t everybody here be happy he swung at a “close” third strike? Sure, it was a ball 99% of the time, but the umpire MIGHT have called in a strike so he should’ve swung!

Off speed
It was not going to be a fastball.
We have Cust on the team for better or worse but I could think of at least 200 ML hitters I would have up there with runner on 3rd and less than two outs before him.
Yes, he bangs out the homers and walks. I am only talking about the runner on 3rd situation. I don’t know the stat on Cust but I can bet it is horrible.
I like his home runs as everyone does.

my mancrush on zooks is waning
"I talked to Paul this morning and asked if he could acquire some chemistry from another GM whose team is out of the race. But I'm concerned chemistry might not clear waivers."
--Beane
I still think it was Cust's fault for swinging at Ball Four.

Go get the Windex.
You better clean your TV.

You don't need Windex for Lackey.
You need eye bleach.
