9/11 Playoff Edition
Hey there guys. Still in Baltimore, man this city is beautiful. So, I'll just post the entire box score and allow you, the view, to make judgement.
SAC
I wish we could just remember last nights game for Stockton's performance rather than having to show this disgusting line. We were spanked and now the series in the PCL is tied. <<<<<WARNING>>>>>> Do not view until after thirty minutes of your last meal, on the off chance you throw up.

Another nice start from Godfrey. I like what I am seeing from this guy. Demel continues to just sit people down. Good to see Carter take some walks. When you are given 8 walks, you have to put runs on the board.
Allright---so what are some predictions for the Fall League? Who is going to have the breakout? Is it going to be a pitcher or a hitter? I hope to see Donaldson establish himself as a premier hitter in the eyes scouts. Just my hope.
Take care and go A's!
Signing off from Baltimore--Daniel

I hope to see Donaldson become a top defensive 3B as well as a premier hitter.
Too much?

Baltimore...
I hope you’re packing heat.
I had 6 friends go to JHU for undergrad. 5 got mugged. 2 at gunpoint.
Camden is one of my favorite parks though…

Yeah, I found the "Baltimore is beautiful" thing funny
Since it has the highest murder rate in the entire country.

As Oakland A's Fans...
We should probably not bring up murder rates.

I sense some urgency in the farm system
Last year it seemed to me that a lot of guys were being sent to Winter Ball because they had been injured and needed more innings. This year it seems that all the fall and winter leagues are being packed with A’s prospects for development purposes. Even Simmons is going to Instructs.
Maybe I’m imagining it, but to me it looks like BB has given the word to get these guys ready NOW, or at least soon.

Anderson & Lansford
It’s incredible to think that both of these kids are showcasing their talents for Sacramento. Does anyone have a long term prognosis on Lansford? Kid went to Hawaii last year, and his GB% skyrocketed. Is he a Starter next year in Midland or a Reliever in Sacto?

Hopefully he'll remain a starter as long as possible.

Remain?
Lansford or Anderson? It’s pretty obvious that Anderson is and will remain a starter. Lansford has been a reliever the entire season.

Lansford is a reliever
He was never even semi-decent as a starter, whereas he’s been very strong as a reliever this year.

I do not see it as urgency; it is conducting business as usual.
Winter and fall leagues are for continuing the development of your better minor league
players. Not much is done for the more marginal players except the instructional portion in the fall which is also for development. Billy obviously wants the development process to continue…

Nice to see Stockton knock off San Jose
Especially since San Jose is the Gnats’ team.
