Being an optimist and an A's fan may seem a bit laborious, however, I like to think of it in these terms: How can you really appreciate caviar if you don't know the taste of dirt? How can we really savor the delicacy of a Duke start without the bitter aftertaste of a Meyer start?

And while we are eating dirt right now, what better way to wash it down than with fireworks?! Bought a set of front row seats off craigslist for tonight's game, taking the girlfriend and hopefully we won't fail as bad as some of these failures.
