Cohn goes on to call the A's a cheesy, second-rate franchise.

Seriously?

Comcast you can find on Channel 40. For CSN West you have to get Channel 400

Really? Finding channel 400 is that difficult? Apparently hitting the 0 button on the remote one more time is tantamount to performing brain surgery blindfolded.

What an idiot.

Cohn

would be another mediocre, relatively anonymous journalist-trying-to-blog if he weren’t continually trolling out this “get a rise out of A’s fans and drive up hits” kind of content.

He did it with this, he did it the other day with that column I didn’t bother reading and now forget, and he did it with that utterly ridiculous “debating my son on the merits of Beane vs. Sabean” column a couple months back. He’s a hack.

Or, in other words, as Flashfire so eloquently put it, fuck Lowell Cohn, basically.

RagingHarden: Yeah if you get 20 starts out of me I'll be shocked. Like, I'll wreck my drawers.

I wrote this guy like 10 times in 2006 as he bashed the A's and predominantly Barry Zito

Amazing how he and everyone else forgets the team was in the ALCS in 2006.

Just used up a good 30 minutes of work...

venting about this article.

Who needs homeruns?

This is what I wrote...

Where to begin? With the understanding of rehashing some already commented aspects, I’m going to list the idiocy of this “column” in the order of which it appeared.

1. Why would you be dying laughing, at the A’s possible tv move? I’m not sure I get the joke. Do you even understand what that means? I wouldn’t know, cause you make no point, only repeat info, and then deride. Top notch reporting in my book.

2. You said “How many sports bar in the Bay Area have Channel 400?” My answer – Um all of them. Every sports bar has every channel possible. It’s good business. Especially if the A’s go to FSN West. One more non-point driven point. 4-0-0, man that was rough. I though I lost control of the clicker before I got that last 0 in. Whew, I need a nap.

3. I partially agree with this comment, “The A’s are mismanaging their product on the field and now they’re doing it in the TV booth.” I agree with the TV booth comment. It hasn’t been a good situation. But, hey 3rd person talkin’ guy, this move is to attempt to address the tv issues. It sure is a “chump” move to try and increase the value of your product and market to a larger audience. With this comment I see you have no business sense. You also suggest the A’s be secretive and illusory towards there fans, leave them in the dark. Sounds like sound business ideas to me. You should run for president.

4. Great suggestion for a better tv deal also. Play better. Wow if baseball knew this…Play to win…ridiculous comment. They field a better team than the Giants. Have better prospects than the Giants…I’m just waiting for you to bash them for eating up Bonds while he was hot the erasing him from their history. Nothing but class there. But alas, the Giants are begginning make strategically wise moves in terms of personel…good for them, they should be on the rise, much like Oakland.

5. Your last “point” isn’t a point, and bears no reason to remark.

Lastly, a recommendation in reporting relevance. Never, ever belittle anything you are reporting on, ever. You have lost relevance, if you had any. Calling a group cheesy or second-rate shows your true colors and intentions prior to authoring this brain fart.

This article bears no reseblence of competent reporting, and it is not a report. Mere thought bubbles strung together, before being properly filtered by brain matter.

You give blogs a bad name. No wonder people don’t take bloggers seriously.

It probably took me longer to write this than your article, and with more thought.

Sacramento still beats Fresno.

Have fun being fake.

I know this will just get them fired up, but who cares. Let em be idiots publically.
