The collection
What do you collect when it comes to baseball memorabilia? I like to collect pins and small stuff like that, but my main focus right now has to do with different baseballs.
(Larger version here)
The majority of them are All-Star Game balls, and I only need a couple more to complete that collection. I leaned toward them over World Series balls because the ones from the ASG have more unique logos plus the team-specific stitching.
I've also been getting various special/commemorative balls from the Majors plus some Minor League and International stuff (Olympics, World Baseball Classic).
If anyone is interested in seeing more specific details such as the logos, I have photos of each ball here, all except the autographed balls. One is Deivi Cruz after I caught his first home run in the Majors, and the two others were from the Golden League All-Star Game in 2006 - yes, the one Jose Canseco pitched in. That was pure comedy.
As for things A's-related, gotta have the 1987 ASG and the 1989 World Series, but I've also got a ball from Sacramento hosting the Triple-A ASG in 2005.
Heh, two more just arrived after I took the photo: International League & Texas League.

You know collecting memorabilia has gone to far...

Too far, even.
And to follow up, I collect cards of certain players. I never buy packs or anything, I just use eBay and trading to get the specific players I want.
I am owed an autographed 8×10 of Jay Marshall that his father is supposed to get me..hmm… I should probably check into that to make sure he didn’t forget.

I used to buy packs of cards in the 90s. Got out of that a while back.
I’ll still get some minor league team sets within our organization but like you, I’m down to the occasional player I want here and there.

Yeah, all these uniform/bat/ball/autograph cards are really out of hand
An Abraham Lincoln card? Seriously? CRAZY!

I was hoping to pull that card.
A Lincoln memorabilia baseball card = when fandoms collide in an awesome way.

ASG ball...
I have one from the game in Oakland with Mark Mcgwire’s autograph. Let me know if you are interested in it.

Something else I'd like to do eventually is get a couple of the older AL/NL balls...
…and even the old Spalding ones.

I have one with Street's (in is ROY year), Duke's, Calero's
and a couple gibberish ones I can’t recognize, but they signed it with a Sharpie so it’s rubbed off

I have a ton of A's stuff
Most of it probably the same stuff everyone else has—-dozens of bobbleheads, bags full of pins, autographs, foul balls, closets full of baseball cards (including every Rickey Henderson card ever made) etc…
But the stuff I really like are the random and ridiculous A’s clothes my grandma bought going to games in the 70’s and 80’s that I now wear to games. Among the items that I will break out: green polyester A’s slacks, A’s suspenders, a green and white polo shirt that says Athletics in huge yellow letters, a white cuordoroy A’s hat, a light green mesh hat from the ’88 ALCS. I could go on and on. They are all awesome.
