8/24 Minor Athletics
Your minor league updates for today--Thought I would add a few more player profiles in today's updates considering two teams didn't play today. Enjoy the extra reading.
SAC
| Final | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | R | H | E | |
| Sacramento |
0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 3 | 8 | 3 | |

0 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 2 | X | 6 | 10 | 0 |
Denorfia CF: 2-4, .311 (Over his last 10 games: 20-43, 7 R, 6 2B, HR, 6 RBI) Not bad
Murton LF: 0-4, SO, .277
Baisley 3B: 1-3, R, .288
Cunningham RF: 3-4, R, HR, 2 RBI, .327 (10:10 BB:SO rate since joining SAC 15 games)
| Player | IP | H | R | ER | BB | SO | HR | ERA |
| Gissell, C | 4.1 | 6 | 3 | 1 | 3 | 2 | 0 | 3.51 |
Has had a nice run of late--not so much tonight. Coming in he was 5-1, 2.55 over his last 10 appearances.
MID
Not many highlights from our boys in midland.
Donovan, T CF: 2-4, .271 (Finishing out strong) Profile
Doolittle 1B: 0-4, 2 SO, .256 (143 SO and counting)
Morris DH: 2-4, R, 3B, HR, RBI, .261 (Nice game, Hot of late.)
Cardenas SS: 1-2, R, BB, SO, .302
| Player | IP | H | R | ER | BB | SO | HR | ERA |
| Windsor (L, 2-2) | 1.2 | 2 | 6 | 6 | 4 | 2 | 1 | 8.88 |
| Bailey | 3.1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 4 | 0 | 4.56 |
| Rodriguez, H | 1.2 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 8.17 |
Bailey has turned his season around. Should find himself in a major league bullpen in the next couple of seasons, if not with the Athletics. Windsor is still coming back and trying to salvage his career. What is with H-Rod and these AA walks.
Check out Bailey's last 10 games since moving to the bullpen where he takes advantage of that plus fastball. Bailey
STO
| Final | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | R | H | E | |

Gilbert LF: 2-5, 2 RBI, SB (35), .278
Horton SS: 0-5, SO, .275 (Struggling the last two months after hot start) Profile
Donaldson C: 0-5, .348 (committed his 8th error)
Carter 3B: 3-5, R, 3 2B, .259 (Committed his 23rd error)
Spencer 1B: 2-4, 2 R, 2B, 3B, RBI, .329 (Needs better plate discipline. 4:33 BB:SO with Stockton. However, filling in nicely for the promoted Doolittle)
Brown, C CF: 1-5, R, HR, 2 RBI, 4 SO .251 (Does that look like a Cust line or what--minus a walk that is.) 28th HR on the season split between KC and Stockton. What are the chances that he can add some plate discipline?
Mitchell RF: 1-3, 2 R, HR, RBI, .242
KANE COUNTY
Cougars were facing a pretty tough pitching staff. Beaven for Clinton has been hot his last 10 outings.
Richard SS: 2-4, .301 (Continues his very solid season) Richard
Paramore DH: 2-4, 2B, SO, .225 (Recent draft pick is 8-20, 2 R, 3 2B, 3 RBI over his last 5 games. He's also struck out 8 times.)
Cobb CF: 1-3, RBI, BB, SB (18), .276 (Quitely having a very solid season. Great turnaround from last season.) Cobb
| Player | IP | H | R | ER | BB | SO | HR | ERA |
| Ross (L, 0-1) | 3.2 | 3 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 7 | 0 | 5.02 |
Solid game in his second start back. Good to see the strikouts up considering he had zero last outing. After today Ross has a 2.25 GO/AO so far this season which is very nice to see, lets hope that trend continues along with a healthy arm of course.

Nice as always
Thanks for keeping us updated, profiles are actually a good addition. Too bad Donovan is a bit old, but I’m glad he’s still chasing his dream.

Andrew Bailey
His numbers on the year are now back to being pretty good. His ERA is still high but less hits than innings pitched and 104Ks in 104 innings. I bet he figures it out next year and spend a lot of time in Sacramento.

Tyson Ross
Looks like a good bounce back outing. The Ks are a good sign. I wonder if he starts out in Kane next year or gets bumped to Stockton due to his age.

Midland (Oakland) and Frisco (Texas)
are the two giants of the Texas League. It’ll be interesting to see them match up for the playoffs. Cahill vs. Feliz and Anderson vs. Holland. The ultimate polish vs. Stuff matchups.
