I would've had this done much earlier if not for me playing MLB Power Pros 2008 for most of the day. I'm digging the "MLB Life" mode so far. It's similar in ways to "MLB The Show" where you create a player and only bat or pitch with that person in each game.

Not a whole lot in this one aside from more of Brad Ziegler. Part of that was just because I was hoping to get a few behind the plate shots and this was my first chance since he was called up. I'd love to do it again at a lower angle but the only ways I can do that would be to either get a seat in the first couple rows behind the plate or fork over a ton of money for a Diamond Level seat and that's probably a bit much just for a few pictures and there's no guarantee he'd pitch that day either.

Another reason is there just isn't really a whole lot to shoot from behind the plate (and the sun didn't help, but that's normal). As much as I like seeing games from that angle and getting pitcher shots from it, it's a lot easier to roam at a minor league game than it is at an A's game and a lot of the hitting doesn't come out as well from this perspective.

Most of the time I try to shoot from an angle facing the hitter straight on, which is just the best way to get better details like faces. You can't get them as much when they're pointed away from you. Not that I'm complaining, of course. Different locations just mean a focus on different types of shots.

For the second start in a row, Sean Gallagher was staked to an early lead but gave it right back as the Royals won in 10. Aside from Ziegler's three innings to run his streak to 30, it was a very frustrating game as the A's left 15 runners on base.

Look out!

This is what I mean about the batter angle behind the plate, though I guess some people will appreciate this for other reasons. ;-)

Dive! Dive! (not quite focused properly but in a split second it's tough to do)
