Lenny DiNardo BP Interview
The article is here, although I don't know if a subscription to Baseball Prospectus is required to view. In the article the interviewer asks DiNardo if playing the guitar helps him pitch, the kinds of songs he likes and stuff like that. DiNardo says he likes to listen to sad songs, to which the interviewer asks, "Do you listen to sad songs after you’ve had a bad game?".
DiNardo responds, "I listen to them whether I have a bad game or a good game. Sad songs are my favorite songs."
What good games are you talking about DiNardo??? You're always listening to sad songs because you always have bad outings. (I guess 6 IP, 3R isn't horrible against the BoSox).
The other thing DiNiardo reaveals in the interview (he was interviewed more for playing the guitar than baseball, something to note) is when he says,
When I pick the ball up after a month or two off, in the offseason, I have to teach myself how to throw all over again. It’s something that you have to work on; it definitely doesn’t come natural for me.
Okay, I just learned a major league pitcher is not naturally a good thrower. Makes me all the more optimistic, if I ever had any optimism to begin with.
Show me Meyer/Gio, not Lenny D.
