come on now
Usually when a trade happens with any one of my favorite teams ( A's, Raiders, Warriors) I always look at the positives and get exited about the talent that the team is receiving. This time however that is not the case.
When I found out about the trade via the headlines on the front page of yahoo I was optimistic before clicking the link. Would the A's get A great bat? I sure thought so and was eager to click the link. When I did I sat there shocked. Not only was Harden going but also another one of my favorite players on the A's - Chad Gaudin. For who you might ask? Two prospects that honestly don't amaze me. If you hit 217 at Single A ( Donaldson) how good of a prospect can you be. Why not wait till the trade deadline at least, to waive the white flag? I hope the A's trade Joe Blanton now. They need a superstar bat and I honestly believe the A's could have got a superstar bat for Harden. Even if Harden is occasionally Injured , the A's could have got more for him. Im no GM but I feel like that is Obvious. And one more thing, The A's need a SS. Bobby Crosby is just not good at all. Flat out.

Wow...another Harden trade fanpost.
I guess the previous umpteen weren’t enough.
Ipredict there will be six more. Anyone else want to make any guesses?

I'm glad I'm not an admin
There’d be some heavy handed shit going down at this point.

I blame BillMoresi for making his post
His failure to garner enough recommendations so he broke the consecutive posts about the same damn thing streak we had going.

Ray Ratto from the SF Chronicle weighs in on the subject matter
“Trade didn’t address A’s most pressing needs"

Here's a thought on Ratto -
unlike most of his colleagues, he actually writes often about the A’s.

But then the question becomes should he

Be careful what you wish for -
My point is that his peers ignore the A’s and we’re ticked off about that. Then we insult guys who DO write?

You shouldn't blame your parents
Maybe your English teacher, because I really have no idea what you just said, but not your parents. :-)

The Midwest (sorry typing while playing with my son)
The Midwestern United States (or Midwest or Middle West or The Heartland) is an informal name for a group of north-central states of the United States of America. The last geography class I took (and last map I looked at) had those states separating North Carolina form California, visa a vie a large distance between here and there. The local San Fan paperboy has not developed enough arm strength to sign a minor league contract or throw a copy of the San Francisco Chronicle across the Rockies, Great Plains, Mississippi River, Appalachian mountains and over half way across NC to my door step every morning. For that I apologize. Plus as soon as he did the Yankee’s would sign him and I would only get one copy anyway. And jumping on the net and looking up the SFC paper every morning is not high on the priority list for me and the newspapers here do not pick up and carry a lot of sports talk from the west coast unless it is major new. As for blaming my parents, that was a joke about them living here in NC and by default me being born in NC. But no I do not blame them as I enjoy living in NC. The "I am keeping my eye on you the Mid West (correctly spelled Midwest)?" line was who/what I blame for me not knowing who the Ratto sports writer is out in San Fan. Which was me personifying the Midwest and saying that I was going to be watching "them" in order to blame "them" for separating me from the West Coast.
