I feel bad for the A's pitchers

The A's pitching staff is obviously playoff caliber. Yesterday's line-up is one of the worst I've seen in the majors in years. Sure Suzuki is having a solid season, but batting #3? Without Thomas, Chavez, M.Sweeny the A's are not exactly scary for opposing pitchers. Of couse it's not a shocker that these 3 came down injured based on their history and age.
The division is there for the taking with a little more hitting. As A's fans we get spoiled by usually being near or at the top of the division so you don't hear a lot of noise about improving the A's for this year. In most cites to be so close to the top on July 4 with the best pitching staff would be exciting and a a big push would be made to challenge now.
I know a lot of you geeks are pumped up about about the signing of the 16-year-old pitcher. And the success of the pitchers in A and AA makes you giggly, but isn't winning at the major league level most important. The minor leagues are cool, but for every one minor league stud that becomes Tim Hudson there are 10 that become Todd Van Popple.
I can't wait for the responses on how I have mispelled a word or have dared say a negative word about the A's direction. It's so much easier than addressing the facts. The reality is as a true fan I'd like to see the team make a couple moves and knock the Angles off their pedestal -- the pitching here is good enough to it.

Perhaps the best approach is not to call
your peers “geeks” and predict criticism of errors or negativity when none has been levied. Who exactly on here has said “I love our offense!” or “We should trade our best hitters for some more pitching!!!”
You want the A’s to make a move, yet that would entail parting with Smith or Eveland, B. Anderson or Cahill, because no one is lining up to trade their plus slugger for Foulke and DiNardo.
If you want a slugger now, then answer this: Do you want a plus hitter enough to trade Greg Smith and Trevor Cahill to get him? How about Duchscherer and B. Anderson? Because the teams willing to part with a top-notch hitter are going to want to rebuild their pitching with something special.

Wow, you cared about this one a lot more than I did
Considering his last fanpost was an effort to say Beane lost on the trades already, etc.

like i said in the "realease kieth folke" post
there should be a waiting period before you’re allowed to make a fanpost. like 50 comments first or something.

The ability to post immediately after creating an account does lead to...
...some people posting poorly from the start, but this guy’s got a few like that already.

There are times when the moderators need to start deleting poorly written/irrelevant fanposts
and this is one of those times.

seconded
but for a good laugh switch over to his last post about Beane making poor trades this past offseason. The Fail pictures cracked me up again just as much as the first.

You misspelled Van Poppel

Like Nico says
You have to ask yourself whether or not a hitter is worth a couple of our best pitchers … just don’t know at this point.
I feel sorry for the pitchers, too. It’s frustrating when you know you’re just a couple hitters away from being a serious World Series contender … but what are ya gonna do? I’m sure it frustrates Beane as well … so we’ll just wait and see.
I needed a team so I wouldn’t turn into one of the eighty million pink hat-wearing Bud Light-drinking mulleted idiots at Fenway.

Shockingly
When you have a super pitching friendly stadium you see great pitching and below average offense year after year after year.

Maybe if the distance to first base
was reduced to 85 feet, the A’s would beat out more ground balls for hits??
Those “close plays” at the 90 foot distance are getting to me.

Doug Glanville wrote about that in the NYT Today
Imagine, for instance, if they eliminated the fences and made the distance between bases 75 feet instead of 90 feet. Home run hitters would be marginalized and speed would become a dominant force. Who knows? If I had played under those modifications, I might have been able to call this column "Reflections of a Hall of Fame Legend."

Weak responses once again.
I can see that posting an objective point of view is a waste of time on this blog. I am actually a huge A’s fan with a very long and large knowledge of A’s history dating back to 1968. I enjoy reading and talking about the A’s. Discussing the A’s weaknesses and cheapness is just as much a part of being a true fan as discussing brilliant trades or draft choices.

You may be a huge A's fan,
but if you choose to pre-emptively insult your peers you can’t expect them to respond with “Great post!!!” You act as if the problem is that you are “posting an objective point of view,” whereas the problem is you are posting something obnoxiously. Oh, and you actually didn’t post an objective point of view, you posted a series of opinions, or musings. But otherwise you’re 100% right.
Sincerely,
