I remember during an episode of BBTN right before the start of the season and they were doing Web Gems of spring training. One of them was a diving play by Emil. Karl Ravich said something along the lines of: “Well there’s a bright spot. To bad there won’t be much of that to come, the Bay Area fans better get ready for some awful baseball this season.” I remember being so pissed as the BBTN crew laughed at the comment making fun of the A’s. I kept thinking to myself these guys have no clue. For two months I felt good about this team. Now…ummm…..errr….

Why not look into our own system. Has anyone seen the numbers 24 year old Jesus Guzman has put up this year in AA? I know he’s struggling in AAA right now but he had a .950+ OPS midland with just under an RBI per game. I say once he turns in around in sacramento give him a shot in oakland.

I agree somewhat
Many of these guys are not going to be on this team next week let alone in 2010. I love to watch guys like Suzuki, Ziegler, Smith, Sweeney, Gonzalez because they might be the backbone of a good team for several years.
However, many on the team are dead weight.
