Compare the body type of Mark Ellis to, oh, how about Barton, CarGon, Hannahan and Crosby. And then explain why-- both this year and last-- Ellis has 1 HR per 31 ABs. And the other four are, for this year:
Is it simply hitting the sweet spot in the barrel of the bat more often? Is it something to do with weight shift? I would seriously ask someone who knows more about hitting technique to take a stab at this, because I sure can't figure it out.
