My goodness, that is a terrible defensive infield the NL is trotting out

Children, until we have taught them better, will be perfectly happy with a seasonal round of games in which conkers succeeds hopscotch.
Luckily Duke didn't throw up on the mound.
Years ago I had unbelievable seats for Oklahoma vs. Syracuse and it was well over 100 degrees on the field. Donovan McNabb wasn’t used to the weather and he puked all over the field and right in front of our seats when he came off the field.
No idea why I posted this but it just made me remember as opposed to trying to misremember.

There are really quite a few good announcers on radio
and MLB Audio is pretty cheap. They’re also available on XM.
I don’t care for too many of the television announcers out there. But OTOH, TV doesn’t provide the opportunity to excel that radio does.

one of the things I’ve noticed (and it REALLY pissed me off) was how good, how prepared and gracious the television announcers for the Yankees were. I HATE the Yankees, but they talked glowingly about the Coliseum and showed it in a light that I see it in when I go, but most people (non-A’s fans, I suppose) don’t see it in. It made it almost worse that they were so good and so kind.
