Now I just want to see him hit… I wonder if they’ll let him swing.

Not for me

I just woke up
and thought for a moment “Oh, I wonder if the Cubs game is on TV?” OF COURSE it is if you live in the Bay Area since it’s the Gnats .

is it me, or do they have a lot more commercial tie ins? these dudes are clowns between that and the blatant homerism.
oh, and maybe the stadium gun is fast, but they had Harden on one fastball at 96.
i missed that one but haven't seen every pitch

Harden looks good
Velocity is fine, changeup dancing – so far very much a win-win trade.

Good for him.
I just honestly hope he stays healthy. I just don’t see this ending well, unfortunately.
Hey guys
Just wanted to say thanks for Harden, I am loving him!
And I hope Gallagher does well for you guys, I really like him.
Its a win/win
if Gallagher keeps it up and we use a piece of the deal to flip for a good bat we could use. So win/win in my eyes if that happens.
When will then be now? Soon.
that is a very interesting <, thanks for posting it.

I will miss him for
the 1 and 1/2 years he was gonna be here for, But if he keeps this up we woulda had no shot at signing him anyways so i dont feel so bad.

With every good start he has for them
Our potential for a better haul gets greater and greater. Hope we didn’t end up selling too low.
8 strikeouts! Pepsi!
Which reminds me that there’s a new version of that promotion, announced at the game last night - if the A’s win by at least seven runs, everyone gets a coupon for free Pepsi at Lucky’s upon exiting the stadium. At least, that’s how it was supposed to work - since it was a fireworks game the crowd exiting the stadium was so huge we probably trampled the poor guy with the coupons. I hate Pepsi and Lucky’s anyhow.
Don't blame me, I voted for Ice Cream
I thought it was if the A's scored 7 runs...
because we got the coupons from that game when Huston blew the lead twice and the A’s ended up with a walk-off win that scored the 7th run… anyway, it made me think of the Big 3 strikeout promotion too. Too bad I don’t even know where the nearest Lucky’s is.

I think that turned into a Trader Joe's
at some point before Lucky’s came back… but I’ve been out of the area for a while, so I could be making that up.

If you ever absolutely HAVE to go to a Lucky's
the one in El Cerrito Plaza is okay. It’s newer and thus less dingy than most. Are you over by the Trader Joe’s next to Rockridge BART or the one by Lake Merritt?

Really?
This kind of reaction confuses me. If Harden does well (and doesn’t get hurt):
1. Harden is better off. He gets a better contract, a more promising rest of his career, and a better life. Good for him.
2. It proves Beane isn’t infallible. More teams will want to trade with him, and will be less cautious.
3. Maybe we can stop talking about the damn curse after this year. Talking about curses annoys me.

The Giants, they are not a good baseball team.
Children, until we have taught them better, will be perfectly happy with a seasonal round of games in which conkers succeeds hopscotch.
The Giants have a pitcher named Osiris?!?

The question is whether he acts as the god of life or death for them
It appears to be death :)

Speedy Oil Change sponsors the Giants pitching changes
I’m not sure this is a good tie-in for them. Taking Correia out after 6 runs = getting your oil changed every 25,000 miles.

good to see harden in the mid-90s
i hope he stays healthy because i like the guy and he’s very talented, but i really REALLY hope he at least stays healthy for at least his first start or two.
otherwise people might think beane is trading injured players.

splitter sighting
Heh, after Vizquel fouled off a ton a pitches, Harden busted out a splitter to finish him off. Looks like he’s tiring a little now. (tiring = not striking everyone out)

Hardens like wow
This is what it feels like to be able to make a mistake or two and still be able to get a win due to run support.
And yeah the Cubs probally will have harden on a pitch count. I would be suprised with the lead and all things considered that he goes to far over 100 pitches
Dusty doesn't manage this team anymore
Of course he’ll be on a pitch count

Harden may not get out of the 6th inning
He needs to figure out how to extend himself deeper into games.

If the Cubs win the WS behind Harden
I think I’ll pretend it was the A’s.
The A's colors are green and gold.
Terrible play at short by Theriot and the Cubs blow the win for Harden
Alfonzo grounder to Theriot’s right, a diving stop, and he turns on the ground and tries to throw to second but has no idea where it goes and it’s over Fontenot’s head. If he holds it, it’s still bases loaded, 2 out, and up 1. Now it’s tied.

The Cubs
might need more than Rich Harden to end their curse…
If Harden could had gone 7 IP like Gallagher
This may not have happened. The more I think, the more I like what we got in Gallagher.

Makes no sense..
to have Gaudin go .2 innings…Should of left him in….start extending him for the inevitible Harden DL trip…...
"Twenty minutes," says Jack Sr. "Thank god for Billy Beane."
Harden was awesome,
his usual dominating ways. I think he got tired w/ that Vizquel at-bat. Several 2-strike counts that could’ve been punchouts…turned into singles. Still the guy is a sight to behold. What a show.
Harden was awesome
Of course the Giants can’t hit. But, uh, the Harden trade totally sucked.
