Open Game Thread: Game 58 - Tigers vs. A's (cont.)
A's are up 1-0 and Harden is looking like King Richard, already punching out five. It looks to me like he might be throwing his splitter once again. Then again, his changeup behaves like a splitter at times. Harden is tough to tell at times.
Imagine actually facing him in the batter's box.
LET'S GO A'S, GET SOME MORE OFFENSE!

Harden' change is so fast and moves so much
Gameday thinks he’s constantly throwing sliders.

If there is one negative to Harden

I get up at 3:30 so I can catch my 5:00 ride and get to the airport early. I think I waited five minutes in the security line. So the flight boards, starts to taxi, then goes back to the gate to get some more fuel. Tuns out there are thunderstorms in KC and we might have to fly around a little bit. I slept through the entire flight, though. I don’t even remember the pilot giving us the okay to unbuckle. Then I got up when they made an announcement about turbulence. I slept on the ride home, then went straight to bed and got up a little bit ago.

I almost posted a comment in which I said I hoped the 1-3 hitters had bad nights so that Rogers wouldn’t be able to get Emil to ground in 4 6-4-3 DPs tonight. I felt that was too negative, so I just said that I wasn’t real happy about that matchup.
In his first 3 ABs, Emil has been HBP, hit a comebacker, and grounded into a 6-4-3 DP. Shoulda gone with my first impulse.

“The plan for 3OT”
1) Try not to puke during your shift
2) Pass out only after you’re on the bench
3) Either score a f**king goal or punch someone right in the nose—I’m tired of this shit.

Wednesday, June 4 is the first Food Bank Wednesday this season
Bring 2 cans of food and donate to the Food Bank and you’ll get a free ticket to an upcoming A’s game – Plaza Reserved seats – not a bad deal!!
The Food Bank will be at every Wednesday home game from June 4 through the end of September.

Keith Foulke sails thru a 1-2-3 inning.
Yeah, I guess he got the 1-2-3 but it was nearly a 1-2-4 inning
I predict
That Mark Ellis gets a plate appearance this inning.
What do I win?
