Really sorry to hear about your dog.

Jacques Pepin is on Emeril Live. They made some kind of pale gross looking squished cold meat rollup monstrosity earlier, and just prior to the commercial break Jacques relayed heavily-accented instructions to leave chunks of butter intact in the dessert dough.

I am attempting to simultaneously work, watch the Food Network, eat pizza, and read your updates regarding the Angel’s demise. It is not going well. I’m beginning to feel lightheaded.

I hearted Jacques Pepin back when

we only had ABC, CBS and PBS. And Yan Can Cook.

I've ridden up in the elevator with Jacques

Nice guy. They used to tape the shows fairly early in the morning, so that when I’d come in at 8:30 or 9 the whole building would smell like sauteeing garlic. We never got any leftovers.

Don't blame me, I voted for Ice Cream

Wait, are you saying there's some connection between

Jennifer’s missing beagle and “some kind of pale gross looking squished cold meat rollup” on the Food Network?

Jennifer, I'm really sorry to hear about your missing beagle

One of my cats - who is so dumb/spazzy that he literally does not know how to get inside the house if he’s 2 feet from the door - last got outside 6 years ago. My wife and I put his best-friend cat in a cat carrier and took him outside in the hopes that dumb-dumb would come see his pal. No dice, although the bait-cat was really, really pissed that we made him sit in a carrier instead of letting him kill all those juicy birds. Then we made leaflets and posted them all over the neighborhood, and got like 5 calls. “Your cat ran through my backyard 20 minutes ago!” I bought one of those big live animal traps and put it in a neighbor’s old garage. Next day—good morning, Mr. Opossum! Finally, after almost a week, we put the trap in our driveway where we’d seen the cat wandering around, and we caught him.

It was agonizing to know that our dumb little cat was wandering around night after night. But don’t give up hope. They can come home, even after a long time away.

We live about 10 miles from anything.

So there’s not really putting posters up. I was out looking for her all night. Like I said, she’s really old, and she had lung problems. I think she went off and died somewhere, maybe got caught out in one of the storms we’ve had lately, or went off chasing a rabbit and stroked out.

She’s gone missing once before. That time, I don’t remember how long she was gone but she came back with her back leg almost ripped off.

Sorry to hear about your beagle Jennifer. I’m sure they’ll find him/her.

If it’s any consolation, Beltran’s sticking it to Jered Weaver, whom I’ve always hated… he’s been so overrated since his magical rookie season when he kicked his own brother out of the rotation.

by C-Gon on Jun 16, 2008 8:03 PM PDT reply actions

Is that Darren Oliver up in the Angels' bullpen?

Suddenly, the DiNardo/Braden option doesn’t seem so bad.

By the way, the Angels will lose tonight

if they score 4 runs or fewer – as they’ve done for the last 14 consecutive games.

They have the normal broadcast on one FSN and one without announcers on the other FSN.

the d-backs are not so scary (aside from webb and haren), 20-8 against the lousy NL west, 17-23 against everyone else.
