Offensively, some pretty good minor league numbers

though his defense is mostly based on what I’ve seen. Scutaro fails miserably both by the eye test and according to the metrics I trust.

is the key here. I understand the pitcher has a shorter distance, but as someone pointed out, a lefty may have his momentum going toward third. Maybe when he eyeballed the swing, he thought the ball was going toward third…who knows…

I just noticed that on the "Coming up..." part of the line score

the A’s listed the 3rd hitter as “Big Hurt”. Did he officially change his name like World B. Free or something?
